PolyHIPE-Derived Amine-Porphyrin Monoliths for Mild Cycloaddition of Low-Concentration CO₂
Abstract
A monolithic catalyst (monolith-TPP-Co-HZ) with abundant amine sites bestow the material with strong chemisorption of CO2 and a CO2/N2 selectivity of 55. Under mild conditions (15 % CO2/85 % N2, 25 °C), the monolith converts propylene oxide to cyclic carbonate in 76 % yield (Turnover Frequency (TOF) = 24 h -1 ). This work offers a new approach to the development of integrated catalytic systems for the catalytic conversion of low-concentration CO2.
