Chiroptical Properties of Bright Chiral Sulfur Quantum Dots with High-Yield Blue Luminescence

Abstract

Metal-free, non-toxic, environmentally friendly sulfur dots with chirality offer unique opportunities for chiral domain imaging and chiral photon sources. We report chiral sulfur dots that exhibit both exceptionally high photoluminescence quantum yields (>80%) and mirror-imaged circularly polarized luminescence disymmetry factor.
