A Double-Cable Polymer Acceptor Enables 20% Efficiency in Ternary Organic Solar Cells

Abstract

We report a double-cable polymer acceptor (PYT-N) featuring a Y-series backbone with pendant NDI units. When incorporated as a third component in D18:eC9 blends, the ternary device achieves a PCE of 20.05%. PYT-N enhances charge transport, suppresses recombination, and improves morphology stability owing to its high glass transition temperature.
