Elemental Phosphorus Stabilized Ni2P for Efficient Electrooxidation of 5-Hydroxymethylfurfural to 2,5-Furandicarboxylic Acid

Abstract

An elemental phosphorus stabilized Ni2P catalyst P@Ni2P was delicately designed and fabricated through a simple solvothermal process and subsequent cooling-recrystallization process. The obtained P@Ni2P with moderate P layer thickness not only can significantly expand the electrochemical reconstruction area, but also can maintain the good electrical conductivity of metal phosphide. When used to HMFOR, the optimized P@Ni2P sample showed excellent catalytic activity.
