Copper-Catalyzed spirocyclization-oxytrifluoromethylation of alkynyl-bicyclo[1.1.0]butanes for spirobutyl quinolones synthesis
Abstract
This work presents a copper-catalyzed radical-initiated spirocyclization-oxytrifluoromethylation to synthesize spirobutyl quinolones under mild conditions with high atom economy. The products show versatile late-stage reactivity, with one serving as a dual optical sensor for Cr⁶⁺ and Ba²⁺, highlighting their practical utility.
