Bioinspired antibacterial microrobots derived from mammalian cells for biofilm disruption
Abstract
This manuscript reports bioinspired antibacterial microrobots for biofilm disruption and bacterial killing. Cell-derived magnetic microrobots (MMCs) have been prepared via polymer-assisted cell metallization, precisely preserving the original cell morphology. When decorated with Fe3O4 nanoparticles, MMCs mechanically disrupt biofilms through structural interactions and dramatically promote the bactericidal performance of H2O2.
