Balancing protection and charge transport of aggregation-induced delayed fluorescence luminogen for optimizing aqueous electrochemiluminescence

Abstract

This study highlights the necessity of ratio-optimized insulating shielding protection for bare aggregation-induced delayed fluorescence luminophores, achieving a 127-fold electrochemiluminescence (ECL) enhancement in aqueous media through synergistic trade-off between restraining oxygen triplet-quenching and interfacial charge transport.
