Irving-Williams series guided construction of a stable core–shell MnHCF@CuHCF cathode

Abstract

Guided by the Irving–Williams series, a core–shell MnHCF@CuHCF cathode is constructed via one-step co-precipitation method. The highly conductive and robust CuHCF shell suppresses Jahn–Teller distortion and Mn dissolution, enabling enhanced rate capability and cycling stability in sodium-ion batteries, which provides a feasible strategy for high-performance Prussian blue analogues.
