Phosphate-assisted synthesis of N-doped carbon-coated RuPx on carbon nanotubes for efficient pH-wide hydrogen evolution
Abstract
A novel phosphate-assisted route was proposed to synthesize N-doped carbon-coated RuPx nanoparticles on carbon nanotubes, which demonstrates outstanding activity on par with Pt/C for the pH-wide hydrogen evolution reaction, separately requiring overpotentials of only 14, 62, and 19 mV to achieve 10 mA cm−2 in alkaline, acidic and neutral conditions, shedding new light on the synthesis of metal phosphides in electrocatalysis.
