Surface Ni–O–Co sites in cube-shaped Ni–Co3O4 spinel oxides for boosting soot oxidation
Abstract
Catalytic soot oxidation in automotive exhaust using non-noble metal catalysts remains an urgent challenge. Herein, the formation of surface Ni–O–Co sites via Ni solution quenching enhances the redox properties of Co-based spinel oxides, which is a strategy to promote the adsorption–activation capacity of O2 and NO, boosting NOx-assisted soot oxidation.
