A stable narrow-bandgap 2D iron–pyrazine framework exhibiting high photoconductivity and spin–charge coupling
Abstract
We report a 2D coordination solid, (pyz)FeCl2, that combines semiconducting and magnetic properties. It exhibits a ∼1.0 eV band gap, high-spin Fe2+, and strong, stable photoconductivity with thermally activated, spin-dependent transport. Its robust stability and coupled spin–charge–light responses highlight its promise for next-generation 2D magneto-optoelectronic devices.
