Transwell-Based Analysis Uncovers Stimulus-Specific Chemotactic Migration in Dictyostelium discoideum

Abstract

We report an adapted Transwell® assay for robust and quantitative analysis of chemotactic migration in Dictyostelium discoideum. This interface-based platform identifies soluble folate as a chemical attractant and reveals defective migration in Far1-deficient cells, enabling rapid discrimination of stimulus-specific and genetic determinants of amoeboid motility.
