Reversible Mechanochromism and Polarization Modulation in an Elastic Organic Crystal
Abstract
The elastic crystal BTPTPA combines exceptional flexibility (bendable/twistable) and reversible mechanochromic luminescence (green-orange) with a stress-induced crystal-to-amorphous transition that enables a 41 nm spectral shift for rewritable storage while preserving low-loss waveguiding and polarization modulation capabilities.
