Thermally stable lanthanide-doped fluoride nanoscintillators for high-temperature X-ray imaging

Abstract

We demonstrate that lanthanide-doped fluoride nanoscintillators (NSs) exhibit exceptional thermal stability by balancing multiphonon-assisted luminescence quenching with thermally enhanced carrier transport. This remarkable thermal resilience enables stable high-resolution in situ X-ray imaging (16 lp mm1) of encapsulated electronic components under elevated temperatures.
