Visible-light-induced stereoselective trifluoromethylselenolation of arylalkenyl iodides with [Me4N][SeCF3]

Abstract

The photocatalytic stereoselective trifluoromethylselenolation of E-arylalkenyl iodides with [Me4N][SeCF3] is described under different conditions. These reactions enabled the first controllable synthesis of arylalkenyl trifluoromethyl selenoethers in good yields and with high E- or Z-selectivity.
