Hydrogen-bonded organic frameworks leveraging Lewis basic motifs for high-capacity iodine capture
Abstract
Hydrogen-bonded organic frameworks (HOFs) possess great potential for addressing the threat of radioactive iodine. Here, we report a π-electron-enriched HOF incorporating pyridine nodes as an efficient and recyclable iodine capture platform. Such HOF (abbreviated as HOF-d) exhibited a remarkable iodine vapor adsorption capacity of 4.0 g g−1 with exceptional stability, easy preparation, desirable regenerability and recyclability.
