High-Activity Ce-CoB Porous Electrocatalysts via Cerium Doping for Superior OER Performance

Abstract

Ce-doped cobalt boride (Ce-CoB) was synthesized via a ZIF-67-derived boridation strategy, where Ce incorporation synergistically tunes the electronic structure to accelerate oxygen evolution kinetics. The Ce-CoB achieves an overpotential of 320 mV at 10 mA cm-2, outperforming benchmark CoB by 15.8 % (vs. 350 mV) with remarkable robust. These attributes position Ce-CoB as a scalable, high-efficiency OER catalyst for alkaline water electrolysis.
