Modifications of Terpenoids via Inert Aliphatic C−H Bonds Heteroarylation with Heteroarenes

Abstract

Herein, we describe a method to modify commercial abundant terpenoids via inert aliphatic C−H bonds heteroarylation directly with heteroarenes. The reaction is catalyzed by decatungstate anion under near-ultraviolet light irradiation. Furthermore, the inhibition effect of LPS-induced NO production activity and cell proliferative inhibition in HUVEC and HCC1806 cells of the derivatives were evaluated. The heteroarylation could significantly result changes in biological activity of terpenoids.
