Poly(ferrocenylene iminoborane): an inorganic–organic hybrid polymer comprising a backbone of moderately interacting ferrocenes

Abstract

The first poly(ferrocenylene iminoborane), that is, a polyferrocene-based metallopolymer featuring C[double bond, length as m-dash]C-isoelectronic/-isosteric B[double bond, length as m-dash]N linking units, and a series of monodisperse ferrocenylene iminoborane oligomers are presented. Our studies provide important insight into the structural and electronic nature of this novel class of hybrid materials.
