Boosting electrocatalytic HER in cobalt porphyrin ionic POPs via alkylene bridge engineering
Abstract
A series of alkylene-bridged cobalt porphyrin ionic POPs (iPOPs) were synthesized. Among them, the 1, 3-dibromopropane-linked iPOP demonstrated superior HER activity, requiring only 108 mV to achieve 10 mA cm−2. This enhanced performance stems from its optimal chain length, which facilitates efficient charge transport and maximizes the exposure of active Co-N sites, revealing a clear structure–activity relationship.
