Facet-dependent Bi2MoO6 for highly efficient photocatalytic selective oxidation of sp3 C–H bonds using O2 as an oxidant

Abstract

Photocatalytic selective oxidation of sp3 C–H bonds using O2 is ideal for the hydrocarbons' functionalization. Herein, Bi2MoO6 samples with {010} and {001} facets were fabricated by controlling the pH of the solution. Bi2MoO6 with exposed {010} facets exhibited 2.3 times greater catalytic activity than that with {001} facets.
