Scalable and continuous preparation of nano-stirbars by electrospinning

Abstract

Nano-stirbars are the most convenient and effective means for mixing in microscale systems. With electrospinning and ultrasonic breaking, a simple method is developed to continuously synthesize nano-stirbars without an external magnet. To validate the nano-stirbars, Au nanowires were grown on their surface to demonstrate the stirring with simultaneous catalysis.
