Immunoaffinity nanogold coupled with direct analysis in real time (DART) mass spectrometry for analytical toxicology

Abstract

A rapid, definitive trace drug identification technique using nanogold surfaces with mass spectrometry was developed. High-surface area nanogold was deposited on gold wires and functionalized with antibodies. Effective drug capture in toxicological matrices with detection using LC-MS/MS and DART-MS/MS was demonstrated.
