Uneven Co-N-C Coating Graphene as a Durable Support for Low-Loading Pt Oxygen Reduction Catalyst

Abstract

Uneven Co-N-C layer coated electrochemically-exfoliated graphene as an active support (E1/2 0.788 V) stabilizing low-amount Pt was synthesized, exhibiting superior oxygen reduction activity (0.72 A mgPt⁻¹) and durability (10 mV loss after 50k cycles) in acid. Graphene reinforced metal-support interaction benefits the conductivity, activity and durability for the catalyst.
