Nanostructured Pt coupled with TiOx/Ti frameworks for electrocatalytic chlorine evolution reaction

Abstract

Strongly coupled Pt nanostructures-TiOx/Ti frameworks prepared via facile drop-casting followed by annealing show low overpotential of 54 mV at 10 mA cm-2 along with robust stability for at least 100 h, and 20-fold higher mass activity than commercial Pt/C and RuO2 at 1.5 V vs RHE for acidic chlorine evolution.
