Novel generation of silacarbonyl ylides by trapping of silylene with carbonyl compounds and their cycloaddition leading to silaheterocycles

Abstract

The photochemical generation of silacarbonyl ylides from a silylene and carbonyl compounds and their inter- or intra-molecular 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition with olefins leading to silicon heterocycles in one step was successful.
