Controlled synthesis of heterotetranuclear complexes

Abstract

Template synthesis of a macrocyclic complex containing two copper(II) ions and two vacant coordination sites permits controlled access to a heterotetranuclear CuII2NiII2 complex without scrambling of the metal ions.
