Kinetic mechanism and chemical oscillations in the branching chain decomposition of nitrogen trichloride

Abstract

On the basis of numerical simulation of the branching chain process of the decomposition of nitrogen trichloride it has been shown that suitable conditions for providing oscillating regimes are the following: (a) inclusion of adsorption-desorption of NCl3 on the reactor walls; (b) inclusion of nonlinear chain branching and breaking reactions.
