Oxidative Addition of Tetraethylthiuram Disulfide to Tin(II) Catecholate: X-Ray and Theoretical Investigations

Abstract

The reaction of tin(II) catecholate with tetraethylthiuram disulfide yields the addition product (o-C6H4O2)Sn[S2CN(C2H5)2]2, whose structure has been elucidated by X-ray crystallography, as a rare neutral tris chelate of tin(IV).
