Determination of a metal chelate's characteristic parameters by dual-wavelength beta-correction spectroscopy

Abstract

By means of dual-wavelength beta-correction spectrophotometry, a metal chelate's stoichiometric ratio (γ), practical molar absorptivity (εp) and instability constant (K) have been deduced. The four reactions of iron(III) with Xylene Orange, 1-(2-pyridylazo)-2-naphthol, 4-(2-pyridylazo)resorcinol and Chromazurol S have been utilized. The results were satisfactory.
