Transmetallation of a manganese(II)-porphyrin by Zn2+ ions in the presence of thiols
Abstract
Manganese(II)–tetraphenylsulphonatoporphyrin (tpps) undergoes transmetallation by Zn2+ ions in the presence of thiol compounds, a thiol-ligated metalloporphyrin, [RS–MnII–(tpps)]5–, being the active species.
