Carbon–carbon triple-bond fission in the homogeneous catalysis of acetylene metathesis

Abstract

Experiments with asymmetric acetylenes labelled with 13C at an acetylene carbon confirm that two different homogeneous catalysts for acetylene metathesis bring about carbon–carbon triple-bond fission.
