Proximity effects in the reactions of surfactant p-nitrophenyl esters with peroxide nucleophiles

Abstract

Acyl-transfer reactions of surfactant esters (1) and (2) demonstrate the formation of hydrophobic ion-pairs and provide a striking example of association-prefaced catalysis.
