Thermolysis of cyclopropyl azides: stereochemistry of the olefin forming process

Abstract

From the thermal decomposition of trans-3-deuterio-2-phenylcyclopropyl azide it is concluded that the styrene formation follows a stereospecific cis route to at least 97%.
