Hydroxylamine oxidation by lead tetra-acetate: O-benzyl- and O-phenylhydroxylamine

Abstract

Oxidation of O-benzyl- but not O-phenylhydroxylamine with lead tetra-acetate, in aprotic solvent gives a 1,2 oxygen to nitrogen rearrangement product.
