Norcholane and cholestane analogues of cucurbitacin I: synthesis and inhibition of DNA synthesis in rat thymocytes

Abstract

Norcholane and cholestane analogues of cucurbitacins have been synthesized from 20-oxopregnanes, and at physiological concentrations, inhibit thymidine uptake into rat lymphocytes.
