Sequential rhodium-catalysed isomerisation and disproportionation of 4-vinylcyclohexene

Abstract

Quantitative conversion of 4-vinylcyclohexene into equimolar quantities of ethylbenzene and ethyl-cyclohexene occurs under the influence of catalytic quantities of rhodium trichloride in ethanolic solution.
