The determination of aliphatic ketones by polarography of their Girard T hydrazone derivatives

Abstract

A method is described for the determination of a range of aliphatic ketones by polarography of their Girard T derivatives. The compound is formed in situ in a 75 per cent. ethanolic-acetate buffer (apparent pH 4·00) solution 0·1 M with respect to the Girard T reagent.
