A study of the reaction of cadmium vapour with oxygen by the highly dilute flame method

Abstract

A study of the reaction of cadmium vapour with oxygen by use of the highly dilute flame technique at 773 K has led to the value of 5 × 10–5 for the fraction of successful collisions. A tentative mechanism, involving reaction on the wall of the reaction chamber, is put forward.
