Thermochemistry of transition-metal complexes. Part III. MLnX2 complexes, where M = Mn, Fe, or Ni; L = pyridine, α-, β-, or γ-picoline, aniline, or quinoline; n= 2 or 4; and X = Cl, Br, or I

Abstract

The heats of thermal decomposition of the compounds MLnX2 where M = Mn, Fe, or Ni; L = pyridine, picoline, aniline, or quinoline; n= 2 or 4; and X = Cl, Br, or I have been measured in a differential scanning calorimeter. Comment is made on the variation of these heats with differing metal atoms and ligand groups.
