A consecutive-photoreduction-based multicolor photochromic gel and its color recovery through heat-induced solation

Abstract

Multicolor photochromic reactions are crucial for the development of multi-photofunctional materials. However, multiple stimuli such as different-wavelength lights are generally required for the multistate switching, which is burdensome in applications. Herein, we developed a hydrogel exhibiting multicolor photochromism controlled only by a single ultraviolet light and heating.
