Comparison of optical characteristics of pseudoresonance structures with non-pseudoresonance structures

Abstract

Five pairs of pseudo-resonance structures, which have two sets of physical data, such as two sets of NMR spectra in solution, and and non- pseudo-resonance structures were synthesized under mild conditions. Two of pseudo-resonance structures exhibited either stronger aggregation-induced emission (AIE) brightness or distinct emission colors compared to the corresponding non-pseudo-resonance analogues. Furthermore, one AIE pseudo-resonance structure demonstrated lower toxicity and faster cell membrane penetration than their non-pseudo-resonance counterparts and exhibited high efficiency in endoplasmic reticulum (ER) imaging. This new approach may hold potential for further development in biological imaging and molecular diagnostics
