Thermal conversion behavior of pyrazole-3,5-dicarboxylate-substituted octacalcium phosphate
Abstract
Octacalcium phosphate (OCP) allows substitution of HPO42− in the hydrated layer with dicarboxylate ions. We investigated the thermal behavior of pyrazole-3,5-dicarboxylic acid (PD)-substituted OCP. The substitution suggested the localized conversion toward an apatite-like structure upon heating in low-temperature region, indicating that hydrogen-bonding network modulated by PD influence the conversion features.
