Indium(III)-catalysed regioselective N2-vinylation of tetrazoles with unactivated alkynes

Abstract

An indium(III)-catalysed regioselective N2-selective vinylation of tetrazoles with unactivated alkynes is disclosed herein. The dual role of indium(III) is exploited to enable cooperative Lewis acid-mediated activation of unactivated alkynes and block the N1 position of tetrazoles, thereby achieving high N2-selectivity.
