Stereoselective enolate and homoenolate Michael additions to benzo-fused nitroalkenes: strategic advances and mechanistic perspectives
Abstract
Carbon nucleophiles, particularly in terms of enolate and homoenolate chemistry, continue to represent a foundational platform for the development of carbon–carbon bond-forming methodologies, offering efficient strategies for the construction of structural diversity with biological importance. In this review, we discuss recent advances in the functionalization of benzo-fused heterocyclic nitroalkenes, with special emphasis on diastereo- and enantioselective enolate- and homoenolate-mediated transformations involving carbon nucleophiles.
