A Dual-Mode PEG-Fe(II) Micro-Assembly Enabling Fluorescence Quenching, Covalent Modification and Colorimetric Detection

Abstract

A stable, water-soluble PEG-Fe(II) coordination micro-assembly delivers rapid, low-cost detection through efficient fluorescence quenching, covalent functionalization, and instant colorimetric readout. Engineered for simplicity and robustness, it enables affordable, field-ready diagnostics ideally suited for resource-limited settings and the urgent global need for scalable infectious-disease testing.
