Self-sacrificial organic prelithiation additive for high-capacity lithium-ion batteries
Abstract
In this study, 3,6-dihydroxyphthalonitrile dilithium salt (Li2C8H2N2O2, Li2DHPN) is prepared and coated onto a PE separator to obtain a multifunctional prelithiation separator. When applied in LFP|MS-LD|Gr full cells, this approach increased the firstcycle reversible capacity by 4.14% and achieved a capacity retention of 90.6% after 600 cycles. Moreover, the delithiation product of Li2DHPN dissolves into the electrolyte and helps improves interfacial reaction kinetic performance of the battery.
