We report deoxyfluorination of 4-hydroxymethyloxazoles to 4-fluoromethyloxazoles in low-cost, thermally stable PyFluor using AgF under mild reaction conditions. Various substrates were tolerated well and afforded the corresponding products in moderate to good yields.
