Synthetic routes to PN2C2--heterocyclic cations

Abstract

While reactions of phosphino-phosphenium and phosphirenium cations were explored, the reactions of PPh2Cl, AlCl3 or K[B(C6F5)4] and carbodiimides, dimines and imines, provided direct and general route to salts of cationic five-membered PN2C2-rings.
