Azole-carboxylate-modulated assembly of [Mo2O2S2]2+ units: structural evolution from {Mo12} to {Mo16} rings for enhanced proton conductivity
Abstract
Azole-carboxylate-driven assembly of [Mo2O2S2]2+ units constructs novel {Mo12} and {Mo16} macrocycles. This structural evolution expands intrinsic cavities to establish continuous hydrogen-bonding networks, triggering a transition from a sluggish Vehicular mechanism to an efficient Grotthuss mechanism, achieving a superior proton conductivity of 4.53 × 10−3 S cm−1.
